Recognized as a landmark on Daufuskie Island, this incredible 8 bedroom 10 bath ocean front home is an amazing vacation retreat. With 2 queen beds in each of its 8 bedrooms, this one of a kind mansion offers 16 queen beds for a maximum sleeping capacity of 32! Each bedroom has its own private bath and TV. This may well be the largest private ocean front residence available on either Daufuskie Island or Hilton Head Island.

This unique home offers all the style, charm, ambiance and size of a manor, for it was built originally in the early 1990's as a clubhouse. It has a grand great room with windows the entire length looking out to the ocean, coffered ceiling, two brick fireplaces at either end, leather furniture, three circular dining tables which will seat 15, and a dutch door bar-tending area with wet bar. This grand sized great room, together with the spectacular sleeping capacity, make this a one of a kind destination, absolutely ideal for the large family and friend reunion, wedding, golf group, corporate retreat or as a training/education venue. For example, should you be planning a wedding, there is a white wedding gazebo between Sea Oak Manor and the ocean. In the back yard, under the shade of the oaks are five picnic tables reminiscent of family picnics in the park. Of universal appeal is the beautifully pristine unspoiled beach and ocean at your doorstep with miles of beautiful sandy beach that feels like it is all yours.

Back inside this incredible retreat is a large kitchen with generous views out to the ocean. In addition to the essential appliances, is a second full sized refrigerator, an ice making machine and two washing machines and two dryers. Off the kitchen is, in essence, a second family room with a wall mounted flat screen TV, huge beautifully crafted display case and various couches and chairs for a more intimate setting. As a former clubhouse, one might expect and would not be disappointed to learn, that there is a stately room with a pool table. A handsome pool table beckons all to test their skills. With various bar stools and chairs and views of the ocean, this may be a favorite room for relaxing and socializing.

Rarely does the entrance hall deserve more than a brief mention, but this is the exception. Arriving at the front of the estate via the circular drive, you will be standing in front of this wonderful, grand manor. Up a flight of stairs and you will be standing on a massive front porch. Upon entering you will be transported to a time where a grand staircase, chandelier and hand painted murals meant you had arrived in a home of prominence. The two-story foyer makes a very grand impression. The murals on both the first and second floors are beautifully and skillfully painted depicting the incredible natural beauty of the island. Completing the description of this first floor are the two half baths identified for ladies and gentleman. (The four bedrooms on the first floor and four bedrooms on the second floor will be explained in a moment.)

Up the grand stairway to the second floor and turning toward the ocean is another exciting amenity, for here you will discover the library/card room. The wall of windows provides a spectacular second story view of the vast grounds, gazebo and ocean and may be a perfect setting for quiet reading of your "can't put it down" novel. The real excitement, however, may come from its use as a bridge, poker or crazy 8's game table.

There are eight spacious bedrooms, four on the first floor and four on the second floor, two bedrooms on each floor face the ocean, offering a total of four oceanfront view bedrooms. The other two bedrooms, on each floor, have views of the two-clay tennis courts and oaks and palms. All eight bedrooms are virtually the same size. All offer two queen beds, armoires or chest of drawers, TV's and private baths with combination shower/tub. Each bedroom has been painted in a different color and is numbered 1 through 8.

Every bedroom door is set up to lock automatically as you exit, so it will always be essential to carry a key. Also please note that the four bedrooms on the first floor may only be entered via the first floor balcony or porch. There is no direct entry from the inside of the manor.

Both levels of the manor offer wide expansive porches and balconies. Provided are multiple rocking chairs for your relaxation and pleasure, particularly as you gaze out onto the ocean. Near the manor are large oaks which give the estate the name Sea Oak Manor. Beneath the limbs of these giant oaks, in the shade, are five rustic picnic tables just waiting for the group to gather to celebrate friendships and family in a way somehow forgotten. Located near the picnic tables are two gas grills.

This grand manor has a grand finale, as it offers a spectacular stretch of beach. As far as the eye can see in both directions the wide sandy beach gently slopes down to greet the Atlantic Ocean. Watch pods of dolphins cruise on by and pelicans nose dive in pursuit of a tasty meal. There are so many memorable experiences waiting for you at Sea Oak Manor. Which ones will you preserve for a lifetime?

To assist you in exploring the island, three golf carts, each capable of transporting 4 people, will be available for an additional charge. Please note that drivers of the golf carts must have a valid driver's license. These electric golf carts must be plugged in to recharge the batteries each evening.
